Pediatric Physical Therapy for Strong, Confident Movement

Helping children build strength, balance, and mobility through playful, purposeful activities designed to support real-world independence.
What Is Physical Therapy?

Understanding the Role of Physical Therapy in Helping Children Thrive

Children in physical therapy participate in fun, purposeful activities that strengthen the underlying skills needed for confident movement. While they play, climb, explore, and stay active, our therapists look closely at the factors influencing gross motor development, coordination, postural control, and endurance.

All of our Physical Therapists are trained in the Total Motion Release (TMR) approach — a gentle, nontraditional, and highly effective method often used with children experiencing Torticollis. TMR helps the body naturally rebalance, supporting smoother, more comfortable movement.

What Physical Therapy Supports

Where Physical Therapy Supports Growth, Strength, and Confidence

Physical Therapy helps children build the strength, coordination, balance, and body awareness they need for everyday movement. Whether a child is developing motor skills for the first time or rebuilding confidence after an injury or medical challenge, our therapists support progress through playful, purposeful activities.

We address concerns related to muscle tone, posture, gait, mobility, reflexes, orthopedic conditions, and neurologic needs — helping each child move more comfortably at home, at school, and in their community.

Our Approach to Physical Therapy

How Our Physical Therapy Approach Supports Strength & Confidence

We create an engaging, supportive environment where children feel motivated, capable, and proud of what their bodies can do. Therapists use each child’s “just-right challenge”—activities that are fun, safe, and developmentally appropriate while still gently stretching their abilities—to build strength, stability, and independence.

Playful Movement That Builds Motor Skills

We use games, obstacle courses, and hands-on activities that feel natural and fun while strengthening balance, coordination, and endurance.

Postural & Balance Training for Stability and Comfort

We support core strength, alignment, and smoother body control so children can move more confidently at home, in the community, and during recreational activities.

Strength-Building Woven Into Everyday Routines

Therapists incorporate meaningful movement tasks that help children safely build the muscles needed for walking, climbing, running, and participating in school and play.

From the very first session, we knew Marissa was different. She didn’t just work with our child—she worked with our entire family. She took the time to understand our goals, our concerns, and our child’s strengths. Marissa helped us see possibilities instead of limitations. Her dedication, warmth, and collaboration with other professionals gave us confidence and hope. We are forever grateful for the impact she has had on our child’s growth and independence.
